Service Description: This dataset is one from a series of district layers pertaining to California Senate Districts that are derived from the California State Senate information. All data layers are reprojected into the SCAG standard projection. The following district layer is included in the series: Senate_districts: Current California Senate Districts based on the new district boundaries enacted into state law on September 13, 2001, and signed into law on September 13, 2001, and signed into law on September 26, 2001 for use with the March 2002 primary election The boundary has been updated as of 11/2011
