Description: This layer is part of a web application that maps all projects received by SCAG's Intergovernmental Review Program. The projects are received as notices for public hearings, preparations of environmental impact reports, etc. They are logged into a database and classified for regional significance according to SCAG guidelines. Most projects are mapped, with exceptions including non-physical projects such as general plans and regulatory amendments. They are mapped on a week-by-week basis. This particular layer features specific plan, commercial, industial, residential, and other projects. They are first logged into the IGR database by a staff member and then their boundaries are drawn as shapes in the layer. The layer features any specific plan project that SCAG has received notices for since 2014. These are often composed of relatively large areas of land and can feature components ranging from housing to commercial space to open space. Such components are not double-mapped onto other layers (e.g., commercial or residential). The layer is subject to additions on a weekly basis.
