Mapping Southern California's Flower Fields
SCAG mapped potential wildflower blooms and superblooms in Southern California for year 2017 using precipitation and windstorm data from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), publicly accessible open space from the California Protected Areas Database (CPAD), and rich vegetation areas from SCAG's High Value Habitats dataset.
